The asparagus crash diet Do you know it?

The asparagus is a plant native to the Mediterranean, it is the stem and most tender buds of asparagus. It is a vegetable that has very few calories , which is why it is essential in weight loss diets.

It is also very rich in fiber and has some therapeutic properties among the most outstanding, that of being a vegetable rich in glutathione, a recognized anti-cancer antioxidant , it also has diuretic properties that promote urination, which also gives it detoxifying powers since they reduce retention. of liquids.

There are, as you already know, two varieties of asparagus. As you know, there are two varieties, the white ones and the green ones; the whites are softer and the greens have a more intense and peculiar flavor. It is a very complete and healthy food and both varieties have the same properties.

What do asparagus give us?

  • Vitamin A : Very advisable to maintain the health of our eyes, nails and hair).
  • Vitamin C : It is a powerful antioxidant that protects us from premature aging of cells and also maintains the health of bones and teeth, making them stronger.
  • To a lesser extent, it also contains vitamins of group B (B1, B2, B6) and E.
  • Minerals : Potassium, Phosphorus, Calcium, Magnesium. Potassium gives it diuretic properties as mentioned above.
  • It contains  folic acid , and together with iron , it contributes to the formation of red blood cells , which is why it is highly recommended in pregnancy.

How do crash diets work?

Crash diets, as we have already explained in other posts, are based on making a base diet in which we consume an average of 1500 calories a day and alternate it with crash days in which we consume between 900 and 1200 calories a day. Achieving in this way, carry out a hypocaloric diet without the risks of malnutrition that these pose.

You can see other crashes also in the following links: crash of the pineapple , crash of the watermelon ,   crash of the endive , or of the fish , etc.

It should be remembered that crash diets are generally carried out in order to compensate for an excess that has been in calorie intake, hence the name of crash.
Carrying it out in the first instance is not recommended, although it could also bear fruit, since we compensate for the caloric intake and therefore lose weight. But it is used as a motivational method and as a push when we get stuck in losing weight.

Recommendations to carry out this diet

It is not recommended to carry out this diet for more than three days in a row, since it could produce a caloric deficit and our body could suffer because it is not offering all the nutrients that are necessary to develop its functional and metabolic activity.

The recommended oil for a day is 2 tablespoons a day maximum.

It is very important to drink 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day to promote hydration of the body.

Avoid foods with fat, sugars, sauces and high calorie intake for best results.

Remember that crash diets are fast diets that help us lose weight quickly, given their low calorie content. They are generally used as motivation before starting a diet, or after periods of excess; such as holidays or Christmas, times when we eat abusively.

Therefore, they are not diets to carry out for a long time, but rather a stage to regulate the consumption of our body.

You can try different types of diets, what we do recommend is that you combine it with small aids that can accelerate your goals, such as drinks that help you detoxify the body, such as lemon water or ginger water .

Below we offer you the asparagus shock menu,  you can make slight variations according to your tastes, as long as you adjust the caloric intake.
